Babbacombe Fayre on
Babbacombe Downs
A fine sale of
Bric-a-Brac; Curios & Second-hand books which will have
a great deal of interest to many of our visitors
Organised by the Babbacombe and St Marychurch Districts
A Grand Fruit-Basket
Tombola The League of Friends sales to
raise awareness of the League of Friends and to promote the
merchandising and Membership opportunities
Organised by the Events Committee
Monday 6th July - Wednesday 19th August
Grand Summer Draw (with Cash prizes)
on sale at "Outpatients" - Level 2 of the Hospital
and at all our Events
Wednesday 29th July
Cockington
Fayre, Cockington
Full day event, located near the main arena to raise
awareness of the League of Friends and to promote the merchandising and
Membership opportunities. We are delighted that the occasion will be
supported by the Ladies of the Linen League and will included a display
of their lovely hand-crafted items.
Wednesday 19th August
Annual Cream Tea Party
and Summer Draw.
Following our huge success of last year, the Cream
Tea afternoon will this year be held at the Palace Hotel Torquay.
The Summer Draw will be made at 3.30pm and tickets
for this event will be on sale from June onwards at £5.00 each.
We recommend early booking for this fabulous
afternoon as last year we sold out !!

Thursday 17th September
-An Evening of Entertainment and
Laughter
We are organising an Evening of Entertainment and
Laughter at the Theatre on Babbacombe Downs.
The Evening is arranged in conjunction with the Babbacombe
Theatre who are very generously offering us a
special ticket price.
Tickets will cost only £10.00 (normal ticket price
£16.00).
Please book early for this great evening out - enjoy
yourselves whilst supporting the League!
Friday 23rd October
Trafalgar Day Dinner
Wellswood District are organising a Trafalgar Day
Dinner - held for the first time at the Royal Torbay Yacht Club and our
Guest of Honour will be Commodore Moores of the Britannia Royal Naval
College .
Ticket price, to inc a drink on arrival- plus a three
course Dinner and Coffee will be £19.00 per head.
Please put this date in your diaries now - it is an
evening NOT to miss!.
As you can see a very varied programme of events
with a mix of our regular favourites - but incorporating
a
couple of new ideas which we hope will entice you
away
from the TV's and help support our wonderful League
